Just read that the average glue-down vinyl plank job uses about 1.5 gallons of adhesive per 100 square feet

I was flipping through an old trade magazine from 2021 in my truck and saw that number, which seemed way higher than I would have guessed for a typical install. It made me double-check my own adhesive usage on my last few projects to see if I was close. Do you guys find you use more or less than that on your glue-down vinyl jobs?

It's like everything's designed to use way more product than you need, lmao.

Wow, that seems crazy high! I usually get about 250 square feet out of a gallon bucket with a 1/4" trowel.

A quarter-inch notch gives you way less than 250 square feet per gallon.
