The dilemma between flexbox and CSS grid for a simple 3-column layout
Spent last weekend rebuilding my forum theme and had to pick between flexbox and CSS grid for the header nav. Went with grid because it handled the uneven item widths better, but now the spacing looks off on mobile. Has anyone else run into this kind of overflow headache?

Flexbox is like that friend who means well but always shows up late and messes up the parking job. Grid just looks at you with that "I told you so" face when you finally realize mobile exists. At least you can blame the overflow on responsive design instead of admitting you spent an hour rearranging divs again.

Yeah that overflow thing got me too. I was reading a blog post the other day about how flexbox handles content overflow differently than grid and it finally clicked why my layouts kept breaking. Sounds like you already found out the hard way though. Feels like half the time we're just figuring out which tool breaks the least instead of which one actually works right.
