Shoutout to the guy on the FIRE forum who told me to dump my crypto in 2021
He posted a detailed breakdown of the market cycles on the Bogleheads subforum, and I sold my Ethereum at around $4,500. Watching it drop below $1,000 a year later proved his point completely. How many people on these forums actually saved others from big losses?

That Bogleheads post was a lifesaver. I saw a similar one about the M1/M2 money supply ratio being a huge red flag. It's wild how much solid macro stuff gets buried in those threads.

Remember reading a breakdown on that M1/M2 ratio from some econ blog a few months back... the guy basically said when that ratio shrinks too fast it means money is locking up in savings instead of moving around the economy. Makes sense why the Fed pays attention to it even if the news never talks about it. The Bogleheads forum is weirdly good for this stuff because the older crowd has been through so many cycles and they just share what actually worked for them. I wish there was a way to filter out the obvious noise posts though, gotta dig through a lot of panic threads to find the real gems.

Saved that post too, it helped me stop stressing over daily noise.
