Remember when the Bogleheads forum was just a few thousand people?
I joined back in 2009, and the vibe was totally different. It was mostly about simple index funds and the three-fund portfolio, with maybe 5,000 active users. Now it feels like a massive hub with constant threads on crypto, complex tax strategies, and hundreds of thousands of members. The sheer volume of information and opinions makes it harder to find that old-school, focused advice. Anyone else miss the quieter, more straightforward forum days?

The forum actually had over 10,000 members by 2007, lol. The core three-fund portfolio advice is still there, just buried in the noise now.

Honestly, feels like trying to find a specific cleaning product in a superstore now compared to the old corner shop vibe. Sanchez.mia is right that the good stuff is still there, but man, you gotta dig through ten pages of crypto bros and hedge fund talk first. Tbh my eyes just glaze over half the time.
