Remember when forum signatures were full of portfolio links and net worth brags?

I was looking through some old threads from the early 2000s on MoneyTalks and it's wild how everyone used to openly share their exact stock holdings and account balances. Now, on the same forum, you get banned for even hinting at a dollar amount because of the scammers and flex culture that took over. What's a good modern forum you guys use where the talk is actually about strategy and not just showing off?

The shift from actual talk to performance is why I left most big forums. Bogleheads.org is still pretty solid for low-key strategy talk without the bragging (the culture there really shuts down flex posts). Early Retirement Now's forum section is another good spot, but it's more focused on the math behind pulling the trigger. You just have to find those smaller, topic-focused communities where the rules are strict about keeping things useful.

Man, that old flex energy got so bad it felt like a crypto launchpad sometimes. Makes you miss when people just talked about the why behind a move, not just the price tag.
