Paid for a premium finance forum subscription and got nothing but recycled advice
I signed up for a year of 'Market Masters Pro' last fall, paying $250 for what they called 'exclusive, advanced strategies'. What I got was the same basic 'dollar cost average into index funds' and 'have an emergency fund' advice I've read for free on every other forum for a decade. The 'pro' section was just old threads from their free board, repackaged. They promised weekly deep-dive reports, but they were just summaries of news anyone could get. I stuck with it for six months hoping it would improve, but finally canceled. It felt like paying for a library card when the books are already on the street. Has anyone found a paid finance community that actually delivers unique value, or are they all like this?

Spot on. @the_kelly is right, it's just noise. Paid groups are mostly a scam that sell common sense as a secret. They bank on people wanting a shortcut. Real value comes from doing the work yourself, not paying for repackaged basics. Save your money next time.

Remember my friend who paid for that "exclusive" stock picks group? He got all excited about their "secret signals"... turned out they were just telling him to buy stocks after big news hits, like everyone else. He paid $100 a month to be told "buy low, sell high" with fancy charts. Felt pretty silly when he realized it.
