Bought a $40 security camera off Amazon three years ago and it still works like a charm

I mean I figured it'd crap out after a year but this little thing has survived rain, heat, and a squirrel trying to chew the wire. Anyone else get lucky with a cheap buy that just keeps going?

Still works like a charm" - I mean, that's great for YOU but I had the EXACT opposite experience with a cheap camera. Bought one for $35 from some random brand, and the thing lasted maybe 8 months before the night vision went completely fuzzy. Then the app stopped connecting. I swear these cheap cameras are a total lottery, and most of the time you lose. You got lucky but I bet most people who bought that same model got a dud.
