Can we talk about how we used to make fake food for a shoot? I was cleaning out my garage last week and found a box of 'ice cream' scoops from a commercial we did three years ago.

Found a whole box of that fake mashed potatoes we used for a shoot once. Mixed it with actual food coloring but it never looked right so we just piled it up like a weird sculpture. The worst part was the texture, it dried out super fast and got this gross crust on top. I swear the smell stuck to my clothes for days after that shoot, like stale play dough and old grease. We ended up using it as filler for other scenes too because we didn't want to waste it. Honestly, that stuff is more durable than real food for long takes but man, the cleanup is a nightmare.
