Wait, you paid sixty bucks for a crock that smells like a wet dog that died in 1972? How bad is that smell exactly, like is it embedded in the clay or just on the surface? I had a thermos that got that musty smell once and nothing I did could get it out, not even bleach and baking soda. You might be stuck with that stink forever unless you try a serious vinegar soak or something. Sixty dollars is a lot to spend on a science experiment.
