Vent: Had a vinyl fence panel blow clean out in a Kansas windstorm last month.

Honestly, we set it in concrete like we always do, but the wind just ripped the whole section from the posts. Ngl, it was a mess. Has anyone else had this happen and found a better way to anchor vinyl in super windy spots?

We switched to metal posts in Oklahoma and it's held up great.

Wait, metal posts in Oklahoma? @black.margaret, how do they not get ripped out of the ground with those winds? I mean, we get some nasty storms here too and I just picture them getting bent all over the place. Maybe it's just me but I've always thought wood flexes a bit better. What kind of metal are you even using?

Wood might flex but it also rots, so pick your poison I guess. Metal posts just need a good amount of concrete and a hole deep enough to survive a tornado.
