That old auger bit sheared off in a rock at a job in Cedar Park last Tuesday, but we managed to finish the line by hand with a digging bar and a lot of elbow grease.
What's your go-to method for getting through a stubborn rock seam without wrecking more equipment?

Finished the line by hand" sounds about right for my luck. My go-to method usually involves hitting it with the machine until something expensive makes a noise it shouldn't. Then I stand there staring at it for a good ten minutes. After that, it's back to the basics with a bar and a whole lot of regret for not checking the soil report closer.
