Back in '08 I bought a whole pallet of that 'no dig' post mix from a guy at a trade show.
It was supposed to set in any weather, but a cold snap hit our job in Toledo and half the posts on that property wobbled like crazy after two days. Cost me nearly $1200 in materials and a full day's labor to pull them all and reset with regular concrete. Anyone else get burned by a product that just didn't live up to the hype?

That's a tough lesson to learn the hard way. Did the company that made the mix offer any kind of guarantee or compensation after it failed? Seems like they sold it on a specific promise about the weather.

Used to think those guarantees were just for show, but angela_coleman is right about the hype. Had a concrete sealer fail last year and they actually sent a refund, which shocked me. Makes you read the fine print now.

Ever notice how so many stuff is just sold on a big promise that falls apart? Like fiona502 said about the guarantee, it feels like a lot of products are all hype now. Makes you trust the simple old way of doing things more.
