Saw a guy at the Portland airport wearing a suit made of old airline seat covers

I was waiting for a flight last Tuesday and this dude walks by in a full three piece suit that was clearly made from those blue and gray patterned fabrics you see on plane seats. He even had little seatbelt buckles as cufflinks. It was wild, like he was a walking first class cabin. Has anyone else seen fashion that takes inspiration from a really weird place like that?

Oh my god, that's amazing. He was probably trying to get a free upgrade by blending in with the furniture. I just hope he didn't try to recline during dinner. Honestly, that's the most committed airport outfit I've ever heard of.

But what if it's not that weird? People wear clothes with sports team logos or band t-shirts all the time, that's just branding from a different kind of hobby. This guy is just a super fan of travel. Is a suit from seat fabric that different from a jersey with a player's name on it? It's all about showing what you love. Maybe he works in the industry and it's his version of a uniform.
