Just had a fabric investment that completely changed my last project

I dropped about $80 on a yard of this really nice, heavy wool crepe from a shop in Denver, which felt like a lot at the time. I was making a structured blazer and the cheaper stuff I usually bought just wouldn't hold the shape right. That one splurge made the whole piece look professional instead of homemade. Anyone have a go-to source for good foundational fabrics that are worth the price?

Honestly, I use cheap stuff all the time and it works fine. You just have to know how to work with it. A good fusible interfacing on a basic twill can give you that structure for a fraction of the price. That eighty bucks for one yard is just wild to me.
