I finally chose between a structured blazer and a flowy cardigan for my capsule collection

I was stuck on whether to use a tailored blazer or a drapey cardigan as the centerpiece for my spring capsule. Ended up picking the cardigan because it layers easier and works for more body types lol. Sewed up 8 samples with different sleeve lengths and found that a three-quarter sleeve with a loose knit feels super modern. Has anyone else made a similar choice between two silhouettes and regretted it or loved it?

Oh man, I totally get this struggle! I went through almost the exact same thing last year with a denim jacket versus a soft utility vest for my core piece. I picked the vest and honestly it was the best call I made for my wardrobe in ages. You're right about the cardigan being more flexible for different body shapes, and that three-quarter sleeve choice is smart because it doesn't swallow your whole outfit. The loose knit sounds way less fussy than a blazer that needs dry cleaning every time you wear it.
