Going back to hand-drawn patterns after years of CAD

I spent like 6 years doing everything digital on PatternMaker but last month I grabbed my old hip curve ruler and muslin for a vintage repro job and it just felt... right. Has anyone else found that certain projects just demand the old methods?

Going back to analog tools after years of digital can feel like taking a deep breath. There's something about the physical feedback of a ruler and fabric that forces you to slow down and really think through each step. Your mileage may vary, but I've found vintage repro work especially benefits from that hands-on approach since the original patterns were made that way.

I dunno man, I kinda feel the opposite. All that physical feedback just slows me down and makes me second guess myself, whereas digital lets me zoom, flip, and undo mistakes in seconds.

Isn't it wild how the old tools just feel right sometimes?
