Wasted $150 on those fancy magnetic hoof pads from a catalog...
Swore they'd save me time trimming but they kept sliding off and one got lost in the muddy pasture after three days. Anyone else had bad luck with gimmicky farrier gear?

True but @the_anthony I think losing one in mud is more on you than the pads.

Man those magnetic pads are a total scam lol. I honestly don't know how they convinced anyone those would hold up in mud or wet grass. The magnet strength is nowhere near enough to keep them on a moving hoof.
You're way better off just getting a basic hoof stand and a good rasp for that kind of money. The catalog stuff is always overpriced junk that looks fancy in photos but falls apart in real conditions. Live and learn I guess.
