Just realized hot shoeing vs cold shoeing is night and day
Been shoeing for 8 years now. Always did cold shoeing, thought it was fine. Tried hot shoeing on a draft horse in Bozeman last month. Fit was way better, shoe sat flatter. Hoof wall wasn't fighting me. Anyone else make the switch and never go back?

Blew my mind the first time I did hot shoeing too. It's like that thing where you struggle with a tool for years then find the right one and wonder why you didn't switch sooner. My neighbor spent a decade using a dull chainsaw before I let him borrow mine. Same kinda deal with shoeing. The metal just moves so much easier when it's hot, the shape stays true.

Buddy of mine swore by cold shoeing until his back gave out after 20 years.
