Rant: The 'cold mask' trick for post-extraction redness actually works

A client last Tuesday had a stubborn area that stayed red for over an hour after a deep extraction. I tried putting a chilled bottle of my SkinScript cucumber mask in the fridge for 15 minutes before applying it, and the redness was gone in under ten. Anyone have other quick fixes for calming reactive skin on the spot?

Well, there goes my plan to just fan the client with a magazine while apologizing profusely. A cold mask is a much better idea. I keep a couple of those gel eye masks in the mini fridge for this exact reason.

Gel masks in the mini fridge. That’s smart. Every salon I’ve been in has the same problem. Fridges get packed with snacks nobody eats. Then one person puts a toner in there and it comes out smelling like someone’s leftover lunch. Real system failure across the board.
