My steamer decided to quit right before a full facial booking
It was Tuesday morning, my 9am client was already in the chair, and my little tabletop steamer just made a sad gurgle and went cold. I had about five minutes before the extraction step. I grabbed my big bottle of distilled water, gave the tank a hard tap on the side, and hit the power button again. It flickered back on just long enough to get through the treatment. Has anyone found a really reliable steamer brand that can handle daily use?

My friend Sarah at the Solstice Spa had her main steamer die mid-day during a busy Saturday. She ended up using a big electric kettle with the lid off and a towel tented over the client's head as a total panic move. It worked but looked so janky. She finally bought one of those heavy duty stainless steel ones from a salon supply warehouse, and it's been running for two years straight now. The brand name escapes me but it was the kind with a metal tank, not plastic.

My buddy rigged a rice cooker to steam faces after his unit quit.
