I finally got a stubborn extraction right after a bad start
Last Thursday at my small studio in Tacoma, I was doing a deep pore cleansing on a client with really congested skin. I went in on a spot that looked ready, but it just wouldn't budge and the area got red and angry fast. I stopped, applied a cool compress for a full five minutes, and gently massaged a bit of calming serum around it. The client was super understanding, and by the end, the inflammation went way down. Has anyone else had a spot that just refused to cooperate, and what's your go-to reset move?

Oh man, that's the worst feeling when you think a spot is ready and it just locks up. Your reset move is spot on (no pun intended) with the cool compress and backing off. I've found that sometimes the skin just needs a minute to chill out, literally, before you can even think of going near it again. If it's still a no-go after that, I'll often just leave it completely alone for that session and make a note for next time. It's so much better to walk away with minimal redness than to force it and leave a mark for a week.

My chin had one last week that was so stubborn. I gave it the cold spoon trick and came back an hour later, still nothing. Woke up the next morning and it was just gone, like it never happened lol.

My friend told me she had a chin bump that just would NOT budge no matter what she tried. She did the whole ice routine, left it alone, and even tried a warm compress the next day with zero luck. Three days later she forgot about it, looked in the mirror, and it was completely flat again like it never happened.
