Can we talk about the push for everyone to get a chemical peel?

I saw a client's skin get way worse over six months after she kept getting peels at another place. Her barrier was wrecked, she had constant redness, and it took us a year of gentle hydrating facials to fix it. I think we jump to peels too fast for mild texture issues. Has anyone else had a client come to you with damage from overdoing peels?

Oh my god, six peels back to back? That's insane. @the_mason, your poor sister. It's like some places just see a credit card, not actual skin that needs time to heal between treatments.

My sister's skin looked like raw chicken for months. They sold her a package of six peels back to back. It's too much for skin that just needs a good moisturizer.

Man, @black.margaret is right - six peels in a row is just asking for trouble. Your skin needs way more time between treatments than that, even if you think it's tough. Sounds like that place was more about the upsell than actually helping.
