Bought a $600 LED light panel for facials and honestly it collects dust now
I caved and got one of those big LED panels everyone raves about for anti-aging treatments, but after 6 months of using it maybe 5 times total, I think handheld wands do the same job without hogging my whole treatment room. The thing takes up half my cart and clients barely notice a difference compared to my old $40 magnifying lamp with a skin scanner. Has anyone else regretted splurging on big equipment that just sits in the corner?

Funny timing on this... I was just reading that a lot of these big panels don't actually put out enough power to do much unless you're sitting right up against them for 20 minutes. A friend of mine who's a total skincare nerd told me the handheld wands often have way better energy concentration because of the smaller surface area. Plus with the big ones you're paying for the stand and the marketing hype not the actual light tech. I'd rather spend that money on a good serum or a few professional treatments honestly.

Wow, @jamesmason, that's really interesting - why exactly would a smaller wand actually concentrate the energy better than a bigger panel?
