A new client's comment about her old spa visit really got me thinking

She came in for a facial in my home studio last Tuesday and mentioned her last one was at a big spa in Scottsdale. She said, 'The esthetician there used the same brush on me that she had just used to clean the sink.' I was so shocked I had to stop what I was doing. It made me double-check my own cleaning steps right then, even though I know my routine is solid. Has anyone else heard a story like this that made you review your own practices?

Oh that's so gross. A friend told me her nail tech reused a file on her right after using it on the person before. Stuff like that makes you check your own setup twice for sure.

Yeah, the "check your own setup twice" thing is real. I started bringing my own file and buffer block to appointments after seeing some questionable tools. It's cheap insurance and they never mind. If a place acts weird about you using your own stuff, that's a red flag anyway.
