Thought I could eyeball furniture pricing at estate sales. Big mistake.

I went to an estate sale in Tacoma last Saturday. Saw this old wooden dresser, figured it was worth maybe 60 bucks. Guy wanted 150. I laughed and walked away. Found out later it was a mid-century piece made by a local craftsman. Sold online for 400. Now I actually check my phone for sold listings before I judge. Took me about 20 minutes of research per item. Annoying but beats losing out. Anyone else get burned by guessing prices?

Man that stings. It's like the ones you walk away from always end up being the hidden gems. Happened to me with a lamp once, still bugs me when I think about it.
