Found a 1970s newspaper clipping about a local estate sale INSIDE a book I bought at an estate sale

I picked up an old hardcover about birds at a sale in Bellingham last month, and when I got home, a yellowed clipping from the Bellingham Herald fell out. It was a full page ad for a 1973 estate sale listing a player piano and a collection of glass fishing floats, and the house address was the SAME one I was just at. What's the WEIRDEST thing you've ever found tucked inside something you bought at a sale?

That's a full circle moment right there. I found a grocery list from 1982 in a cookbook once, bought all the stuff on it just to see what the meal would have been.

Well, that's a pretty neat experiment, but I have to wonder if it was actually any good. Some of those 80s recipes were heavy on the jello and canned vegetables. I guess it's more about the feeling of connecting to the past than the actual meal though.

Wow, that's such a cool and spooky coincidence! It feels like the book was meant to come home with you. The weirdest thing I ever pulled from a used book was a pressed four-leaf clover, still perfectly green, with a tiny, faded note that just said "for luck, 1969".
