Man, that brings back some memories... spent a whole shift once chasing a phantom door lock fault on an old Montgomery unit. Turned out to be a single strand of copper in a multi-core that had broken inside the insulation. Couldn't see it until you wiggled the exact right spot. Felt like a total victory finding it, but man, what a waste of a day.
