Hit 500 emergency stops without a single callback last month and it changed my tune on those cheap test switches

I always figured the budget limit switches were junk but after 500 stops with zero failures I'm starting to think maybe the markup on the name brand ones is just hype. Anyone else have a similar experience with off-brand parts holding up better than expected?

My old man used to swear by the expensive brands and I just followed along. But I ran a similar test with 200 stops on some no-name switches last month and not a single hiccup. Definitely made me rethink the whole thing.

Whoa, hold on, you tested 200 stops and nothing went wrong? I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but that feels like a pretty low bar for something you're gonna rely on every day. Like, I've had cheap switches that worked fine for a month or two and then just started dropping connections or making weird buzzing noises out of nowhere. And 200 stops on a test bench isn't the same as real life where people are tripping over cables and plugging in different devices at weird hours. Not saying you're wrong, just saying I'm not ready to swear off the expensive stuff over one good month.
