Found a sandwich wrapper from 1992 while replacing a relay.

It was tucked behind the old control board. Makes you think about all the lunch breaks spent in those machine rooms.

Regular stuff lasting a while isn't always a big surprise... like my old couch is still here after ten years but it's falling apart. Doesn't mean it's good or expected, just that it hasn't broken completely yet. Sometimes things just hang on without being special. We give too much credit to things that simply avoid total failure.

That 1992 wrapper is older than me, which makes @wendy674's point about stuff just hanging on hit different.
