The week my shop turned into a museum for cursed electronics

So last week, this older guy walks in with a huge cardboard box, says he cleaned out his attic and wants me to 'look at a few things'. I open it up and it's like a time capsule of tech fails. There's a VCR with a melted tape still inside, a cordless phone that looks like it survived a flood, and a CRT monitor with a screen so burned-in you can still see the Windows 95 start menu. The kicker was a 'smart' toaster from like 2010 that had a tiny LCD screen for... sending texts? He seriously thought I could fix them all for about fifty bucks total. I spent three days just trying to explain why bringing a 30-pound tube TV back to life isn't worth it. Has anyone else had a customer bring in a pile of stuff that's just too far gone to even laugh at?

That box sounds like a tech support horror story!

Used to think everything could be saved, but that box would change your mind, right?
