I finally found a way to fix those flaky PS4 HDMI ports without a reflow station

I had this one PS4 where the HDMI port was loose but not totally busted, and my usual trick of just applying more solder wasn't cutting it. After about 3 tries, I tried using a tiny dab of epoxy (the kind that sets in 5 minutes) around the back of the port pins before soldering. It held everything in place perfectly on a repair I did for a guy in Toledo. Has anyone else tried this kind of reinforcement trick for HDMI ports?

Learned that trick the hard way after epoxying my thumb to a motherboard. Works great until you realize you've created a permanent part of your tool collection. Still beats ordering a whole new console though.

Honestly, wait, you epoxied your THUMB to a motherboard? That's wild, man. How did you even get it off without ripping skin off? I'd be panicking and probably just accept that my thumb is now part of the board forever. Ngl, that's a next level commitment to console repair.
