Appreciation post: just fixed my 500th laptop with a bad DC jack

I keep a simple tally on a whiteboard in my shop. Yesterday, a student brought in a 2015 Dell that wouldn't charge, and after swapping the jack, I realized I'd hit 500. It's a small thing, but it made me think about how common this one failure point is across so many models. I've probably seen it on at least ten different brands over the years. Has anyone else noticed a specific part that just seems to fail over and over again?

What about those cheap plastic power buttons? They crack if you look at them wrong. I swear they design them to break.

Right? @margaretf40 is onto something with those power buttons. The little plastic clips on laptop screen hinges are another one that just gives up.
