A client told me my 'good enough' flux cleanup on a laptop board was leaving conductive residue, so I switched to a 99% IPA soak and a dedicated flux brush.
Anyone else have a specific critique that made you upgrade a basic step in your process?

My old "clean enough" method was just moving the gunk around.

Moving the gunk around sounds about right. Like wiping a counter with a dirty rag, you're not cleaning it, you're just spreading the mess. It's a counter, not an operating table. Sometimes good enough is actually fine.

Ever try the two rag trick? That's what finally got me past the gunk moving stage @noahs82, one wet and one dry.
