Can we talk about the glare from new LED streetlights?
They put in new LED streetlights last month, and now at night, the light gets into houses. I thought it might be from bad covers or how they set them up. Have you done city jobs where you had to change how the light shines?

Look, that glare is the trade off for actually seeing the sidewalk at night. The old orange lights left huge dark spots between poles, which felt way less safe. Yeah, it's bright, but it cuts energy bills in half and lights the road evenly. Cities are still figuring out the exact tilt, give them a minute to adjust the shields. A little light bleed is better than a dark street where you can't see a thing.

I have to agree with @ivan211 about the glare, it once made me jump at my own reflection in a window. But as he points out, seeing the whole sidewalk is worth the occasional scare. Cities will get the shields right, and until then, I'll just try not to spook myself.

That reflection jump scare is too real, glad the lights help though.
