My worst studying day so far - bombed a practice exam after 6 weeks of prep
I had been grinding through the AREA modules for 6 weeks straight, felt pretty confident. Then last Tuesday I sat down for a practice exam and scored 58%. That hit hard. Turns out I was focusing too much on the math formulas and skipping the legal stuff about property disclosures. My buddy who just passed said he spent 2 hours each night on the land titles section alone. Has anyone else hit a wall like this halfway through their prep work?

...6 weeks and you just now realized the legal stuff was the problem? Man, that's rough. 2 hours a night just on land titles sounds insane but I believe it after hearing some of the horror stories about property disclosure traps on the actual exam. I've heard people say the math is the easy part once you get the patterns down, it's the rules and disclosures that trip everyone up. Hope you can pivot quick and not lose too much momentum off that 58% score.

Wait, you're saying the math is actually the easy part once you get the patterns down? I used to think math was the hardest part of the whole thing, but after failing that 58% and reading through the legal section again, I'm starting to wonder if I had my focus all wrong. The way you describe land titles and disclosures sounding like a total nightmare makes me think I've been spending too much time on calculations when those rules are what really mess people up. I might have to flip my whole study plan around now and see if that changes things.

Ha, yeah @seth_green85 is right that the legal stuff is where it gets you, but 2 hours a night on land titles is a bit much.

Whoa, wait, 2 hours a night on land titles? That's a whole part-time job right there.
