Just realized how much quieter my house got after swapping the original 1987 windows for triple-pane ones last fall.

I was reading a comment online where someone said they didn't think new windows were worth the cost, but the difference in street noise from Whyte Ave traffic alone has been a game changer for sleep, has anyone else found a reno that unexpectedly improved your daily life more than you thought it would?

Totally get that. We did the same with our bedroom windows and it's wild how much it helps. I used to wake up at 5 am from garbage trucks, now I don't hear a thing. It's not just sleep either, I can actually hear my TV without cranking the volume. Best money we spent on the house, hands down.
