Kid in the paint aisle said my 6" knife was for rookies and now I can't stop thinking about it

So I'm grabbing supplies at Sherwin-Williams yesterday and this teenager who works there sees my 6" taping knife in the cart and goes "oh you still use those? my boss says that's for people who don't know how to cut in." I laughed it off but then I got home and started questioning every straight line I've ever pulled. Like is he right? Am I holding myself back with a smaller knife? I been doing this 15 years and never once thought about my knife size. Has anyone else had some random comment from a kid change how you see your whole approach?
