The whole 'pay rent with a check' thing backfired on me with a clueless landlord
I live in Austin and my landlord lost my rent check three months in a row. He kept saying I never paid even though I had the bank statement showing it was cashed. Finally I started using a rent tracking app that sends him a payment confirmation and takes a screenshot. Now he can't say he didn't get it. Has anyone else dealt with a landlord who can't keep track of payments?

Wait you actually used an app for this? I used to think that was overkill but after dealing with my own landlord losing payments I totally get it now.
