Picked spray foam over caulk for my bathroom window gap. Bad call.

Had this gap around my bathroom window letting in cold air. Figured spray foam would seal it better and faster than caulk. Three weeks later the stuff is yellow and trapping moisture against the wood. Now I got rot starting and gotta rip the whole trim off. Anyone else made this mistake and had to fix it?

Did you seal the backside of the window before you foamed it? The foam needs something to grab onto but it also traps everything if the framing isn't dry first. I learned that lesson the hard way too, now I only use foam for big gaps that don't touch wood directly.

Wait, you didn't seal the backside first?
