The switch from hand taping to banjo taping changed my pace completely
I used to hand tape every joint for years, thinking it gave me better control on ceilings. Then I borrowed a friend's banjo on a 2,000 square foot house in Detroit and finished the whole job in 4 hours instead of 8. Has anyone else found the learning curve worth it for the speed gain?

Ngl that's a solid jump in speed. Did you have any trouble with the banjo on the ceilings though? I've heard some guys say the mud gets too thin or it drips more up there. Just wondering if that was a headache for you or if you had it dialed in right from the start.

Tbh I've never had that issue, thin mud works fine up there if you mix it right.

Thin mud drips EVERYWHERE, ceilings or walls. It's just life.
