Stopped by a Home Depot in Phoenix and noticed something weird about their drywall section
Honestly, I was picking up some 5/8 fire-rated board for a commercial job last Tuesday and saw they had the pallets stacked directly on the concrete floor. I lived in a humid area before and that's a sure way to get moisture wicking into the bottom sheets. Has anyone else seen warehouses doing this and had issues with warped boards later?

Yeah but were they on those plastic skids at least or just full on bare concrete? I've seen that exact thing at a few big box stores here in Texas and it drives me nuts. The bottom sheets always end up with that damp cardboard feel and within a month you got edges curling up like potato chips. Makes me wonder if the store managers even know or if they just don't care cause they're not the ones hanging the stuff. Did you check one of the bottom boards while you were there or just notice the stacks?

Tbh you just gotta check the bottom boards before you buy, I learned that the hard way with warped drywall tape.
