Showerthought: I was cutting my drywall sheets wrong for years

I was always scoring and snapping them on the floor, but a guy I worked with in Tacoma last week just lifted the sheet onto two sawhorses. The snap was way cleaner with no edge blowout. How do you guys handle your cuts?

Honestly thought the floor method was fine for ages. That support from the sawhorses makes a huge difference though, no more of those crumbly edges. Might have to finally get a proper pair for the garage.

Yeah, I was in the same boat for way too long! Ended up getting a pair of those folding plastic sawhorses from the hardware store for like 30 bucks. They hold up my workbench top sheets way better than the floor ever did, and the cuts come out clean every time now. Did you already pick out a brand or are you still shopping around?

That crumbly edge thing is the worst.
