Job in Phoenix last summer changed how I tape corners
I was doing this house in Phoenix around 110 degrees and the mud was drying before I could even lay the tape. Had to start wetting the corner bead first and adding a splash of water to my mud. Anyone else deal with tape lifting in heat?

And it's funny how that kind of thing applies everywhere, not just tape and mud. Like I've noticed if my coffee mug is cold my coffee goes cold way faster so I always warm it up first now.

Started soaking my corner bead with a wet sponge before I even mixed my mud up. That heat in Phoenix is no joke, I had to switch to a slower setting compound and keep my bucket in the shade. Even then I was working in smaller sections, like 4 foot runs max so it wouldn't dry out on me. Also found that using a really damp knife helped keep the mud workable longer, just kept a spray bottle handy to mist the mud pan between loads.
