Bought a $90 automatic taper off Facebook Marketplace. Junk.
Guy swore it worked fine. Got it home, the tape wheel doesn't even spin straight. Tried to fix it myself for two hours, gave up. Now it's sitting in my garage taking up space. Anyone else get burned on used tools like that?

My buddy scored a "barely used" table saw from some guy and the fence was totally bent. He spent a whole weekend trying to square it up before just tossing it in the shed. Facebook Marketplace is a total gamble with power tools, for sure.

ruby_grant that weekend squaring up thing is brutal. bent fences are the worst part of used saws, i've seen it go wrong so many times. the seller always says "barely used" but the fence tells the real story lol. your buddy should check the fence before handing over cash next time, a quick look saves a whole weekend of frustration.
