PSA: That weird silt layer in the Mobile River channel last month was a total nightmare
We hit a pocket of super fine silt that just would not settle in the hopper, kept clogging the overflow screens every 20 minutes. What's the fastest way you've found to deal with that kind of slurry?

Just let it clog, screens are cheap to replace.

Actually, letting a screen clog can cause bigger problems with the pump or the whole system. Replacing a screen is easy, but fixing water damage gets expensive. It's better to just clean it now.

Yeah, but a clogged screen is just the start. I've seen it back up and flood a laundry room. Then you're not buying a five dollar screen, you're replacing drywall and flooring. That pump strainer gets ignored until it's too late. Just clean the thing.
