I finally saw what a difference a new pump impeller makes on the old 'River Queen'
We swapped out the worn one after the spring run-off and the yardage per hour jumped from 80 to 110. Has anyone else seen a jump that big just from a single part?

Absolutely, a fresh impeller can work wonders. My old dredge gained nearly 25% more throughput after a similar swap. It's amazing what one worn part can hold back.

Wait, 25% more from just one part? That's insane!

Maybe it's just me but that sounds like you might be trading something else off. A worn impeller can flow more gravel but if it's trashing your pump seals or cavitating down the line you could be losing that gain in downtime and wear on other parts. My old setup ran about the same yardage before and after a new impeller, the difference was really just noise from one season to the next. Idk, could be your old one was really shot but sometimes a big jump like that means you needed other stuff fixed too.
