Honestly, the difference in our sediment output after switching from a 4-inch to a 6-inch suction line was night and day. Went from 15 cubic yards an hour to nearly 25 on the same pump.

Check your units, that's a huge jump for just a line size change. You might mean gallons per minute.

Man, I've definitely been that guy mixing up units before. It's an easy mistake to make when you're in the middle of a job. That kind of jump really does sound more like gpm, not cubic yards.
