Hit 10,000 cubic yards yesterday and it finally clicked for me
I was running the Ellicott 370 on the back side of Lake Murray yesterday and passed the 10,000 yard mark for the season. Didn't think much of it until I checked the gauge and realized that's about 700 dump truck loads I've moved by myself since March. Kinda wild when you think about it that way. Anyone else ever step back and do the math on what you've actually moved in a season?

Does that mean you've basically rebuilt a mountain one scoop at a time? lol

Yeah no kidding, that's wild to think about! Actually, the whole thing felt way less dramatic than that at first. I started with just a little pile of dirt in a corner of the yard, honestly it looked like a small anthill. But over months and months, adding more soil and rocks every time I had a free weekend, it just kept growing. My neighbors probably thought I was nuts hauling wheelbarrows of topsoil around. It got to the point where I couldn't even see over the top of it anymore, and that's when it finally clicked how much work I'd actually done. Really makes you appreciate how long it takes nature to build a real mountain, you know?
