TIL I drafted 47 miles of conduit on a single job site in Phoenix last year

I was on a big data center build out near the 101 and one of the project managers pulled the total from our spool logs. 47 miles of 3/4 and 1 inch EMT just from my crew alone over 8 months. That number blew my mind because I never stopped to add it up day by day. Has anyone else ever gotten a crazy total like that on a job?

That 47 mile number really drives home how much hidden work goes into stuff we just take for granted. I noticed the same thing with the wifi in my apartment building - nobody thinks about the hundreds of feet of cable in the walls until it stops working. It makes you wonder what else is hiding in plain sight all around us every day.

Honestly, I used to just walk past buildings and never think about any of this stuff, but this thread kind of opened my eyes. Ngl, it's wild how much invisible effort keeps everything running smoothly.
