Finally switched to using a digital measuring wheel after 15 years with a tape measure on big plots

Was laying out a 2-acre commercial lot in Austin last month and decided to try the wheel instead, cut my layout time by almost half and made way fewer mistakes on the long runs - anyone else made the jump from tape to wheel for larger jobs?

Ha, same here @the_david. I was all about my tape measure for years too. Swore it was the only way to get it right. Then I had to do a 300 foot run for a fence line and my arm nearly fell off. Borrowed a buddy's wheel for the next job and honestly, it was a total game changer. That long run took me like 5 minutes instead of 20, and I didn't have to re-measure three times because I lost my place.
